AN EARLY WILLIAM IV IRISH MAHOGANY SIDE TABLE, with rounded front corners and two frieze drawers each with a pair of turned pull handles, the front turned legs with fluted top, ring turned band and then tapered reeded legs, terminating on fine acanthus leaf brass castor feet, with partial label beneath for Mack, Williams & Gibton. Numbered B9212. More About Mack, Willams & Gibton: The company was first established by the cabinet maker John Mack in 1784. In 1801, he was joined by Robert Gibton who was succeeded by his son William in 1812. Later on Robert Gibton’s son-in-law Zachariah Williams joined the business – there by creating the name Mack, Williams & Gibton. It continued thus until the death of John Mack in 1829, becoming Williams & Gibton and later Williams & Son and finally closing in the early 1850s. Dimensions: 132 x 61 x 74cm (W x D x H) approx.
