A Chinese Bronze Standing Horse Figure.
A sculptural Chinese horse modelled in a robust, rounded stance, standing firmly on four short legs. The body is powerfully rendered with a pronounced chest and hindquarters, conveying the strength and vitality associated with Tang-period equine representations. The head is raised with an open mouth and stylised mane running along the neck, while a small saddle form is indicated on the back. The surface shows areas of remaining red pigment and gilded-toned decoration dispersed across the body.
