WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Officers Shin-Gunto Katana Sword with 695mm long blade. Grip has original binding in place with Menuki beneath. Overall length 950mm. Machine made blade with no visible Hamon line. "49" stamped on the Habaki. Working release catch. Complete with original company grade officers blue/brown knot and active service leather cover for the Saya scabbard.
Grip has not been removed. Blade has a few very small nicks to edge. Has a small dent to one side of the blade, see photos. Blade has been cleaned. Would benefit from a correct polish.
