1930’s to 1940’s: three dresses, the first long, in black and cream crepe printed in a very vibrant design, small collar, clear, flower-shaped front buttons to waist seam, two more to each sleeve cuff, belt with clear/crosshatched stylized buckle, side zip, approx. size 12/14, waist measurement 86 cm; together with a short-sleeved black dress with a draped front layer being embroidered with white bugle beads, the sleeves each with six covered buttons, beaded to match the buttons on the dress front, side fastening with press-studs, waist seam, shaped ruched front panel to skirt, approx. size 12, waist measurement 72 cm, and a third dress of a heavier black crepe, net panel to the bodice front with floral appliqué effect, long sleeves with appliqué to the cuffs, the skirt hem finished in black net, wide waist panel approx. 76 cm, box pleats to the front from around hip level (3)
The first dress has traces of a cream silk lining, a few light marks to the fabric, lower down on the skirt. The second dress collar needs cleaning.
