Three mid Victorian memorial brooches
To include a split pearl forget-me-not within an oval shape black enamel surround, together with a split pearl and black enamel rectangular glazed hair panel brooch and a coral memorial brooch, lengths 1.7cm to 1.9cm.

Forget me not brooch:
Glazed panel to reverse vacant and deficient
Losses to enamel
Split pearls relatively well matched, with a yellowish-grey lustre
Scratches and chips to enamel
Evidence of repair to reverse, discolouration and possible soft solder marks
Hair panel brooch:
personal inscription to reverse reads 'Joseph Horton Ob. 70 10 Nov 1824 OET54'
Chips and abrasion to glazed panel edges, in keeping with age
Loss to enamel, particularly visible in two corners
Split pearls well matched, with a yellowish white lustre
Coral brooch:
Chips and abrasion to glazed panel, in keeping with age
Coral well matched, with a reddish orange hue, visible banding and pitting, untested
Some discolouration, scratchinng and dents to reverse of brooch, in keeping with age
