The TR6 was introduced in 1968, and was the best-seller of the TR range when production ended in 1976. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and back ends were squared off. All TR6 sports cars featured in-line six-cylinder engines, and like the TR5, the TR6 was fuel-injected for all markets except the US, hence the TR6 PI designation. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped the home-market TR6 produce 150 bhp at model introduction. Later, it was detuned to 125 bhp.

The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission with an optional overdrive. The TR6 also featured semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15" wheels and tyres, pile carpet, bucket seats, and a full instrumentation. Braking was by front disc brakes, and drum brakes at the rear. A factory steel hardtop was optional, requiring two people to fit it. The TR6 dashboard was wooden, and factory options included, a rear anti-roll bar and a limited-slip differential.

This example has just had a major refurbishment completed, which included the fitment of one new front wing (the other had been replaced previously), both rear wings and a boot lid. The car has had a full repaint with new bumpers and a new elm dash. This stunning TR6, finished in Saffron Yellow, is now in excellent condition all round. The engine is very sweet, and is fitted with twin SU Carburettors, (the original injection system also comes with the car) and alloy rocker cover. A Motalita steering wheel is also fitted.

A truly wonderful example of a TR6, with a brand new MOT, that is ready to be enjoyed.
