Part 2 has special title page with vignette. Covers rubbed and fogged with some slight marks. Rear flyleaf torn. Previous owner gift inscription to front flyleaf, dated 1818. Internally, pages are lightly age toned, but still bright and clear.

Christopher Clavius was a German mathematician, physicist and astronomer. He was a member of the Vatican commission that accepted the Gregorian calendar.
