DOULTON LAMBETH ARTWARE WHISKY BARREL. 11.9ins tall. Another highly ornate side laying stoneware artware barrel, set on a substantial, heavy, wooden (possibly oak) base plinth. Very different from the previous lot in the design with attached sprigs very much bolder/ deeper. Entire body with sgraffito lines to replicate wood effect (& colour), hoop like bands in atypical Doulton blue grey. Covered all over with a range of decorative raised sprig like shapes, central decorative band of large shapes/ designs surrounded with raised dots, top with f illing hole. End spigot with original (?) brass tap above circle area with large raised LIQUEUR/ SCOTCH, hanging metal drip catcher below. No p.m. NR.
