The Vauxhall Cavalier was a large family car sold primarily in the UK by Vauxhall from 1975 to 1995. It was based on a succession of Opel designs throughout its production life, during which it was built in three incarnations. The second generation of Cavalier, launched in 1981 and produced until 1988, was launched simultaneously with the identical new generation of Opel Ascona, which was sold across the world in various guises.

This example is a very rare Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 Cabriolet, only 1,283 were imported into the UK. These cars were German built by a German Coachbuilder for Vauxhall/Opel, the conversion was done by Hammond and Theide, a Belgian company. Only circa 40 are thought to still exist today. This is a one owner car with the vendor's late father acquiring the vehicle on 5th January 1987. It is very low mileage with only 41,000 miles on the clock.

The car is presented in red with a black soft top, and grey upholstery. The vendor states that the car still has it's original bodywork and interior, and it was recently restored (fully documented) so is in excellent condition, and is said to run perfectly.

The car comes with both the original V5 and the current V5C registration certificate. It also comes with original operation/safety/maintenance manuals, Haynes Service & Repair Manual (1995), cavalier convertible cassette tape and two keys.
