A 1936 Austin 10/4 Colwyn cabriolet, registration number CHT 279, chassis number 82329, blue over black. Jezebel, a well cared for and rare Colwyn cabriolet, has been in the current Austin Ten Owners Club members ownership for the last 16 years. Still retaining its original Bristol registration, the cabriolet is presented in sound condition, but there would be room for improvement as time and funds allow. The body work is finished in light blue with black wings and matching wire wheels. There are some blemishes to the coachwork and signs of rubbing down. We are advised that the hood is serviceable but the rear window has gone opaque. The vendor advises us that the chassis, running gear, framework and floor are sound, the interior which is finished in dark blue leather is original to the car and showing signs of wear, but has a charming patination. The engine is said to be running well and is a replacement which was overhauled in 2017 at a cost of £4000, and the brakes were overhauled at the same time. This charming cabriolet is offered for auction with an accompanying history file containing receipts including a detailed account of the engine overhaul, a maintenance manual, an Austin Ten Drivers Club valuation certificate and sundry paperwork. Now only being offered for auction due to the vendor's advancing age and the car seeing little use in recent times. V5C, MOT & tax exempt See illustrations
