Petel traveled extensively through Italy, France, and the Low Countries, where he’s work was heavily deeply influenced by the stylistic innovations of Giambologna. And his friends Peter Paul Rubens.and Anthony van Dyck ,Petel even created a famous bust of Rubens in 1633. van Dyck painted a portrait of Georg Petel around 1628.
