A cultured pearl single-strand necklace. Comprising a series of 133 cultured pearls, measuring 8 to 6.2mms, to the 9ct gold circular-shape garnet and cultured pearl cluster clasp. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1979. Length 90cms.
Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
Some cultured pearls have a small amount of glue residue visible.
Cultured pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
Some cultured pearls with minor blemishes and pitting.
Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
Garnet is a dark orangish red, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.
Garnet is in good condition with minor abrasions.
