A LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK BY JOHN CLOWES. the 11" brass dial with silvered chapter ring, pierced cherub's head spandrels, seconds dial and date aperture, to a two train movement striking half hourly to a bell, engraved John Clowes, Rusel St, Covent Garden, the case hood with blind fretwork panel and spiral mounts to a quarter veneered trunk door, with case keys, pendulum and weights, 214cm high.

Restored condition, some replacements, minor losses to corners of case, old worm damage to seatboard, movement untested.
