WW1 Military Cross engraved on reverse to Capt C Southgate, 1914-15 Star Trio with Oak Leaf engraved to Cap C Southgate, IGSM with Afghanistan NWF 1919 clasp to Capt. C. Southgate. 2/81/ Pnrs., WW2 1939-45 and Africa Stars, Defence Medal and BWM with Oak Leaf, complete with miniatures, both sets swing mounted as worn. Also includes copies of temporary assignments from officers training corps to temp 2nd Lieutenant. dated 19th Sept 1914, shortly after assigned temp Lieutenant. on 4th November 1914, followed by temp Captain on 8th Jan 1915, and finally Compton Southgate, M.C (A.I398) 4th (Prince of Wales Own) Gurhka Rifles, Indian Army, Commander Bombay Sub-Area, from Lieutenant Colonel to temp Brigadier. No copy of medal roll for MC but is listed in Honour The Officers by Michael Maton. Plus WW1 BWM and Victory Medal to 2.Lieut. W.H. Sumsion with copy of medal roll and WW2 Defence Medal and War Medal unnamed as issued swing mounted as worn. (R)
