An early 20th century gold, diamond and gem-set bee bar brooch. The graduated oval-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond cluster body, with circular-shape ruby eyes and old-cut diamond wings, to the plain bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Length 5.8cms. Weight 4.9gms.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement gems.

  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds appear fairly clean with some small dark inclusions visible under 10x magnification.
  • Sapphires are a well matched medium to dark blue hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Rubies are a well matched slightly pinkish red hue, fairly well saturated.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Stamped 15ct to bar.
  • Length of bee 1.9cms.
