A late Victorian gold agate scarab and split pearl cross pendant. The carved agate scarab with intaglio reverse, atop ROMA script arms with split pearl terminals and later surmount. Length 5.1cms. Weight 13.9gms.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Surmount a later addition.
  • Some stones possible replacements.
  • Agate is a medium to deep reddish brown hue, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Agate is in good condition.

  • Split pearls have not been tested for natural origin.
  • Split pearls are a creamy white colour with some abrasion and pitting.
