A late Victorian gold garnet cross. The oval-shape foil-back garnet cross, with fancy-link chain. Length of cross 3.8cms. Length of chain 36cms. Total weight 5.1gms.

More Information

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and small dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Shows evidence of repair, discolouration, possibly lead solder.
  • Clasp thumb-piece deficient, requires attention.
  • Foil-back garnets appear fairly dark purplish-red, with fair clarity and typical inclusions, which can be seen with the naked-eye.
  • Foil-back garnets in mostly good to fair condition with small nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
