An early to mid 19th century topaz brooch; the central lozenge -shaped panel of open scrolling design and set with an oval and two rectangular step cut foiled pink topaz*; in closed back setting; and suspending in a single stone drop in similar scrolling mount. 7 x 10 cm. in fitted case. circa 1830. * Note:- The closed settings of the stones prevent thorough gemological testing, but they appear to be pale pink topaz against an enhanced pink foiled backing.
