An Edwardian platinum and 18ct gold, diamond and gem-set brooch. The old-cut diamond lattice basket, with similarly-cut diamond crescent swing handle, supporting a pearl, demantoid garnet, ruby, sapphire and diamond floral spray. Estimated total diamond weight 1.75 to 2cts. Length 5cms. Weight 20.7gms. With fitted Asprey case. Pearls untested.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

  • One pearl shows glue at the mount, another pearl is loose in the setting, may require attention.
  • Pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Pearls are a creamy white hue, with slight rose and greenish overtones.
  • Generally in good condition, with minor to moderate nacre damage.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with some small light and dark inclusions under 10x magnification. Some appear to have small chips.
  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
