Norman Thomas Janes (1892-1980), Watercolour, 'Trawler in dry dock' (1930s?), Signed. 16 x 11 1/4'' Norman Janes was born in Egham, Surrey; he studied at Regent Street Polytechnic, London and after World War I, at the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Most of his works were produced before World War II and featured landscapes and maritime subjects. Works by Norman Janes in public collections: British Council, the V&A and Imperial War Museum, among others Purchased from Highgate Gallery, 1985
