A scarce 20 bore brass barrelled flintlock mail coach pistol by J Harding, 14½” overall, barrel 9” with London proofs, engraved “J Harding Borough London. D” and “For His Majesty’s Mail Coaches” around the muzzle (slightly battered); plain stepped lock with safety bolt, signed “J Harding”; plain walnut fullstock with brass military style mounts including domed butt cap, and with horn tipped ramrod with iron worm.
