This is a rare 1985 BMW 628i 5 Speed Manual. Only122 RHD 628CSi with manual transmission were manufactured for the UK market and it was not supplied to any other RHD market. This car also has an Limited Slip Differential which was an expensive option when new so probably only a small minority were so equipped, and this could well be the only LSD equipped car left on UK roads. The first owner kept the car for 21 years 1985 to 2006. As the second owner the vendor has kept it for a further 15 years 2006 to 2021.

The mileage of 94,437 is believed correct but cannot be guaranteed because the vendor has not owned the car from new. Additionally, the odometer ceased to work after the restoration, but the car has only covered about 200 miles since. After some years in storage the car was re-commissioned and re-sprayed last year with work completed in February 2021. Since the car was returned it has been kept in a professional storage facility and only used very occasionally.

Subsequently this year both the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder have been replaced with new items and new fluid. The braking system has been overhauled with new discs and pads all round plus re-built callipers and new fluid. The engine has had an oil change with new oil filter and new spark plugs. Two of the tyres were replaced with new this year.

The car covered approximately 100 miles since the restoration work was completed in February of this year and approximately another 100 miles since the work detailed in the previous paragraph.
The car drives well and looks good but would benefit from further detailed improvement such as new badges. Also, the interior would benefit from valeting and a new headlining. Also available are the original handbook, some old MoTs and tax discs, some older invoices and recent ones for a total of £8800 spent in the last two years.
