A fine 19th century marquetry and parquetry inlaid pedestal games table
the top with central oval reserve depicting a chapel, flanked by twin ferns, within a rectangular parquetry frieze bordered by floral marquetry, the swivel cover opening to reveal chess, cribbage and backgammon boards, all decorated with clover leaf and thistle inlay, the sectioned interior with compartments containing games pieces, standing on a marquetry decorated tapering octagonal column and quatrefoil base, terminating in lion paw feet, 73.5 cm high x 59 cm wide x 39.5 cm deep. (79 cm wide when open)
