Ascension; six postcards; {a} 1901 postcard (“A view in the interior”) issued in 1901 for the intended visit of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York, which did not take place due to bad weather, used 30 Aug. 1901 with UK 1d lilac cancelled Ascension c.d.s. {b} two cards from the same “Links of Empire” series (one of royal couple, other of ship Ophir, postmarked Portsmouth 16 Mar. and 1 Nov. 1901 (departure and return), {c} ppc of Green Mountain used with UK KE7 1d cancelled partial Ascension c.d.s. (address inked over), and {d} two unused ppcs – The Devil’s Ash Pit and Admiralty Cottage.
