1962 BSA Bantam // Registration Number: YDW 631 / MOT Test Expiry: Exempt / Guide Price: £50 - 100 / Road Tax Exempt // From 1948 until 1971, BSA produced the phenomenally successful, lightweight Bantam. The various models in the range were initially powered by a 125cc, single cylinder two stroke engine driven through a three speed gearbox, and progressed to 175cc and four speeds. It was in fact based on a German design, taken after the Second World War as reparations, and similar models were produced in four other countries, including the USA by Harley Davidson. Total production figures vary, ranging from 250,000 units to 500,000; although not uncommon now, the Bantam certainly offers its rider economical, classic motorcycling. Partially dismantled and not complete, this barn find Bantam would be suitable for spare parts or as a restoration project in itself, but for the serious BSA enthusiast as we note that the restoration will not be for the faint hearted! There are no documents for the machine, but we understand that it is on the DVLA register. Offered with no reserve.
