The Jensen Interceptor is a sporting GT-class car that was hand-built at the Kelvin Way Factory in West Bromwich between 1966 and 1976. Jensen had extensively used glass-reinforced plastic for the fabrication of body panels in the preceding two decades, but the new Interceptor saw a return to a steel body-shell. The body was designed by an outside firm, Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, rather than the in-house staff. The early bodies were built in Italy by Vignale, before Jensen took production in house, making some subtle body modifications. Jensen used Chrysler V8 engines to power the Interceptor connected to the super smooth Torqueflite automatic gearbox and a limited slip differential.

The Jensen Interceptor III offered here is described by the vendor as having been recently recommissioned with a new top end rebuild to include heads ,aluminium intake with new carb, new HT leads, uprated fans and controller, re-cored radiator, and steering rack. The car was restored 4 years ago and so is extremely solid, with excellent jacking beams, floors, and sills.

The car is said to be superb to drive with new brake callipers all round, stainless exhaust, and excellent refurbished wheels and tyres. The interior has refurbished new leather made with miurhead scottish hides, a new webasto roof, headlining, carpets, and a new boot re-trim. All bright work is in excellent condition, all bodywork superb with new everlex roof to match interior colour, new door seals, weather strips and screen rubber.
