WW2 group with OBE, 1939-45, Africa (with war clasp), France and Germany stars, BWM, Defence Medal with Oak leaf and GVIR Efficiency Decoration with 2 clasp Territorial and GVIR, attributed to Colonel Stephen Terrell, very fine and better, swing mounted as worn.
Stephen Terrell served with the 3rd and 8th Parachute Battalions during WW2 and was wounded in action during the later stages of the Normandy campaign in 1944.
After the war he became a barrister, and also served as a senior officer for nine years in 16 Airborne Division (TA). He was later appointed Queens Counsel and also served as president of the Liberal Party, with copies of London Gazette articles and printed details of Terrells service. (R)
