A SUBSTANTIAL 19TH CENTURY EBONISED CHIMING TABLE CLOCK BY THWAITES & REED, LONDON. the 9 1/2" silvered dial signed Thwaites & Reed, London, 13655 with strike/silent lever, to a three train movement, quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells and a gong for the hours, the caddy top case with carrying handle and gilt metal mounts of Classical ornamentation, cast as rams heads, floral trails and swags, female figures and masks, with repeater pull, height 77cm inc handle, width 47cm, depth 28cm.

Surface wear to dial, movement winds, strikes accurately and chimes, rear door grille and fabric lining partially loose, fabric side panels worn, slight separation at joins of caddy top, top section slightly loose.
