An 18th century biblical fan, printed and strongly hand coloured, showing Rebecca at the well, being approached by Abraham's servant Eliezer, who offers her jewellery to seal her betrothal to Isaac, after she had demonstrated the kindness foreseen by Abraham when she provided water for Eliezer's camels, seen in the background to the left. Simple ivory monture, with fish carved on the upper guards.
Good colour and detail, the leaf adjacent to each guard slightly splitting, but holding.
