This GT6 was recently the subject of a long term body off restoration by a highly qualified engineer and has been extensively developed from the original factory spec for hugely improved reliability and driveability whilst still retaining the essential character of a 44 year old classic. The 2 litre straight six benefits from Lucas mechanical fuel injection, a gas flowed head, fast road cam, programmable Megajolt electronic ignition and a high torque starter motor. Racing alloy rad. Gearbox has an uprated main shaft and the very desirable optional overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears. The engine has been relocated 6 inches further back in the chassis for a greatly improved weight distribution and much more neutral handling. The car has CV drive shafts and uprated modern wheel bearings, adjustable shock absorbers all round and an uprated front anti roll bar. There are two sets of wheels, one for possible track day use in contrasting powder coated yellow and a new set of JBW minilites and Nankeng semi road race tyres. This Gt6 is an awesome drive and will see off quite a lot of modern tin, sounding like a full race version but maintaining impeccable road manners, maybe not for the purist but a stunning upgraded car.
