A Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Jar with Dragon Medallions, Qianlong Mark.

A Chinese porcelain jar of rounded baluster form, covered overall in a deep rose-pink glaze. The body is decorated on each side with a large circular medallion enclosing a finely detailed dragon shown amidst dense scrolling foliage and stylised cloud motifs, painted in famille rose enamels with turquoise, iron-red, and black detailing.

The jar is fitted with a matching domed cover, similarly glazed in rose-pink. The base bears a blue-and-white six-character mark reading 大清乾隆年製 (Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi), translated as “Made in the Qianlong period of the Great Qing Dynasty.”
