Patrick Hyland the Son of Owen Hyland was from St Joseph's Liverpool, where he was born in 1864. Attested for the Army in Liverpool on the 30th December 1884.. Having previously served as a volunteer with the 2nd Lancashire Artillery.
Served India 15.02.86 to 01.10.86. Burma 02.10.86 to 03.04.87, then India 04.04.87 to 13.11.92.
Discharged 29 December 1896, but later serving in the Militia, in the 4th Liverpool regiment.. He was employed at the Albert Docks as a labourer..
