Details:
The Jaguar Mark 2 is a medium-sized saloon built from late 1959 to 1967 by Jaguar in Coventry. Adhering to Sir William Lyons maxim of "grace, pace and space", the Mark 2 was a fast and capable saloon. It came with a 120 bhp 2,483 cc, 210 bhp 3,442 cc, or 220 bhp 3,781 cc XK engine. The 3.4 and the 3.8 are similar to the unit used in the 3.8 E-Type, having the same block, crank, connecting rods and pistons but different inlet manifold and carburation. The 3.4 Litre and 3.8 Litre cars were fitted with twin SU HD6 carburettors and the 2.4 Litre with twin Solex carburettors.

The vendor states that this Jaguar Mk II is in excellent condition, internally, externally and mechanically. There seems to have only been four private owners, and it has been sympathetically updated for modern times. The original 2.4 litre engine has been replaced with the much more powerfull 3.4 litre unit. The old obstructive Moss gearbox has been replaced with a more useful five speed unit, to make parking easier, Power Assisted Steering has been fitted, the front seats have been replaced with Jaguar XJ6 Series 1 items, which have a head rest for safety puposes. It has been fitted with seat belts, which of course were not obligatory when the car was built, and the primitive Dunlop brake calipers have been replaced with the much moe effective Coopercraft items. The car has body colour competition pattern wire wheels and Coombes style rear wheel spats. The car has only just had a new radiator, a service and MoT.
