Failed its MOT in 1968 due to kingpins and stored in a cart shed ever since
The owner and his grandfather tried to replace the kingpins in 1971 but did not complete the work and the car was pushed back into barn
A great opportunity to acquire, restore or conserve a proper Derby Bentley having been in the same family for 68 years, with 54 years of this been stored in the farm cart shed
We tried rocking the car back and forth in gear, engine does not appear to turn, and is probably stuck

From The Bentley Drivers Club:
'First owner was Mr William Marchbank Marshall, a Scottish solicitor who was subsequently knighted. The car was registered to him in 1935 with the number GA 8240 allocated.
He must have been sufficiently impressed with B8DG, your car, that he replaced it 2 years later with another "Derby" Bentley (B56JD), that with the larger 4 1/4 engine. That car bore the registration DYM 571. Perhaps the 2nd "Derby" was a present to himself upon his elevation to knighthood.
I imagine that delivery of his new car coincided with the sale of B8DG and this was when the car was acquired by Mr Phillip Bushell and exported to Australia, there appearing to be other further UK owner in the interim. As you well know the car came back to the UK in 1947.'
