Three brooches. To include a late Victorian 9ct gold foliate brooch, together with an early 20th century garnet and split pearl bar brooch, and an early 20th century ruby and and split pearl bar brooch. One with hallmarks for 9ct gold, Birmingham 1887. Lengths 4.6 to 6cms. Total weight 9gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Garnet medium purplish red, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Ruby medium pinkish red, fairly well saturated, with fir clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Cultured pearls are a creamy-white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Minor nacre damage to some.
  • Fairly good lustre.
  • Cultured pearls fairly well matched, differ slightly in shape and size. Some are slightly off-round.
