Details:
The Jaguar S-type 3.8 litre appeared alongside the 3.4 version at the cars launch in 1963. The new S-type owed much to its MKII stable-mates as well as the much larger MKX of the same period. The S-type was aimed at Jaguar drivers looking for slightly more sophistication than was offered by the MKII and the car's independent rear suspension and different styling cues highlighted the luxury side of its character and played down the sporty image of the MKII. The 3.8 version of the S-type provided sparkling performance and could reach a maximum of 125mph. The S-type used a modified Mk II bodyshell, which had unique front and rear styling and included a sumptuous interior. Production of the S-type ceased in 1968 when its replacement, the 420, arrived.

This matching numbers, UK RHD example, with automatic transmission is finished in Warwick grey with Suede green leather, the combination with which it left the factory in back in 1966. This is all supported by a heritage certificate from JDHT.

The car is offered with a good amount of history from its three owners, and the 76,000 miles showing on the clock is believed to be correct, due to two long periods of dry storage.

The car was restored back in 2007, and has undergone further work in the past few months: These works included - Resprayed in original Warwick grey - Bumpers and stops re-chromed - Leather re-connolised - New front arches - Wood veneers polished - Full service and MOT - Full stainless steel exhaust system - Carburettor tune up - Choke reconditioned - New steering column - New rear brake discs - 4 new tyres

The car is said to start, drive and brake beautifully and is said to be in immaculate condition.
