A high quality silvered bronze French Gothic Revival Angelus carriage clock by Lucien Falize, Paris Circa 1880, with a striking repeater movement. The side panels depict the 12 months of the year and the handle is formed by two entwined dragons. Marked to base. Overall height 18cm. A similar clock sold in Bonhams Los Angeles sale 27th March 2018 for £5400. Condition report: Winds, strikes and runs. Hands possibly a later replacement. Some light wear to silvering on tracery centre of dial. Estimated: £2500-£3500.
