A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Jar with Butterflies on Carved Wooden Stand, 19th Century.

A Chinese Qing dynasty porcelain jar featuring a classic baluster form with matching lid. The jar is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with alternating butterfly medallions and arabesque scrolls set against a white ground. A band of stylised lappets encircles the lower section, while the shoulder bears a swirling wave motif. The lid is adorned with a central butterfly design echoing the main body.
