A 20th century Burmese red and black lacquered, cylindrical, ceremonial wedding food box with four stacking sections and turned bail handle. Penworked throughout with elephants within scroll borders. 64cm high x 32.5 cm wide (across handle).
Some old cracks to the handle and some slight losses to the lacquer.
