A pair of mid Victorian gold gem-set earrings. Each designed as a seed pearl terminal fringe, suspended from a turquoise, black enamel and split pearl bar, with scrolling spacer and turquoise and black enamel surmount. French assay marks. Length 6.1cms. Weight 11.4gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Green discolouration.
  • Localised scratches and discolouration to reverse and surmount.
  • Enamel slightly worn with surface chips in parts.
  • Turquoise fairly well matched, ranging from a light blue to dark greenish-blue, in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Seed pearls are generally a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones, some slightly discoloured.
  • Seed pearls in good condition with minor abrasions.
  • Width 2cms.
  • Hook fittings for pierced ears.
