A FANTASTIC RORSTRAND MAJOLICA VASE & COVER ON A PEDESTAL BASE, circa 1870, the twin handled baluster shaped vase with a pair of scrolling satyr handles is decorated with elaborate foliage detail and winged figures, with green, ochre and dark blue colour palette, the pedestal below is even more detailed with a large face with scrolling foliage surrounding him that follows down into a detail fruit and flower bough, terminating on scrolling feet. Condition: in excellent bright condition. Dimensions: 158cm tall x 43cm wide, base 36cm wide x 25cm deep.
