A WWI officer’s silver Rolex Trench watch, the dial with retailer’s name “Garmon, Torquay” (worn), and with seconds hand, the back engraved “D.V. from S.J.V July 5th 1917”, the inside of the back marked “Swiss”, “Rolex”, continental silver marks, “W&D”, and serial number 689938, the movement marked “Swiss Made” and “Rolex 15 Jewels” on the main gear wheels. GWO & C (hairline crack to the dial, luminous material worn from some numbers, the metal link bracelet later)
