TWO CHINESE PORCELAIN FAMILLE ROSE CIRCULAR DISHES, 20TH CENTURY. Each with iron-red enamel and gilt four character apocryphal Qianlong seal marks, the first decorated with a courtesan reclining on a daybed in a draped interior, within puce lozenge pattern and precious object border, the underside with coral red ground, the second decorated with a court lady wearing flowing robes, holding a tea tray and standing atop clouds, reserved against a turquoise ground, 24cm diam. max. Property of an English Gentleman, acquired in Taiwan in the 1970s.
The example with turquoise ground with a small patch of flaking and deterioration to glaze beside rim, minor discolouration to turquoise ground. Minute wear to enamels to both, overall in good order.
