Catriona Millar is a leading Scottish figurative artist, widely recognised for her bold, emotionally charged work. A graduate of Gray’s School of Art (2005), her sold-out degree show marked the beginning of a highly successful career. Millar’s distinctive style — characterised by richly textured oil paint, stylised figures, and animal companions — explores themes of identity, intimacy, and human connection.
She was named one of Scotland’s top five most collectable artists by The Herald in 2007, and her work has been acquired by collectors across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Millar continues to exhibit widely and remains a significant voice in contemporary Scottish art. Catriona Millar works with several charities including, Art on a Postcard, St Columba's Hospice Care, Edinburgh and Mental Health Aberdeen. She currently lives and works in southeast England.
