A Large Chinese Blue and White Hexagonal Porcelain Vase with Painted Floral and Bird Panels, Qianlong Mark.

The vase is of hexagonal form, rising from a stepped foot to a gently flared neck, each facet decorated in underglaze blue scrolling floral designs. Two opposing panels are finely painted in polychrome enamels with birds perched among flowering branches and foliage, framed by geometric borders. The remaining facets are filled with dense scrolling floral motifs in cobalt blue. Each side is fitted with moulded lion-mask handles holding gilt metal rings.
