This rare Jaguar XJ-SC 3.6 Automatic Convertible has been consigned after a long term ownership. The car has been owned for many years by a collector of Jaguars who hardly used it. It has recently been re-commissioned and the owner who has decided to sell the car at auction. We understand that very few examples weere made in this Jet Black non-metallic colour. The car is showing a very low recorded mileage of 79,000 miles and has just been Fully Serviced, including Engine Service, and the block has been flushed, and the engine is said to be smooth and quiet.

The car is fitted with a TWR style body styling kit, which includes TWR style front bumper, lower side skirts and rear bumper, plus boot spoiler, twin headlamps and alloy wheels with good tyres. The paint work which looks to be of high quality, is also in the two tone style, that is the top is Black and the bumpers, skirts, spoiler and wheels through the lower sides of the car are in Graphite Grey Metallic. This is typical of the two tone look that some "Special order" Jaguars sported at the time. The car has the TWR style de-chromed look which adds to the stunning overall look of this rare Jaguar XJ-SC.

The leather seats are in very nice condition as are the carpets, and the dash board top also free of cracks. The unusual colour theme is followed inside the car with black carpets and centre console, with contrasting ivory white leather seats and door cards, which looks stunning. This is a factory Targa Top model with central roll bar and rear section soft top with a rear window which is in good condition. The twin front Targa roof sections have just had a new heading fitted. It is very clean in the boot area and very nice under the bonnet, and a new battery has been fitted. The car starts up immediately without issue and the engine sounds to be in good health. The vehicle has been inspected underneath and looks to be solid, there is photos of the vehicle on a vehicle lift in the below link. It is rare to find a nice low mileage XJ-SC these days and this may be one of a handful that sports this colour scheme.
