A Victorian Bowie knife, the bright polished blade 8” etched on one side with foliate scrolls and “Gold seeker’s protector” within a panel, stamped at the forte “Iohn Hudson Sheffield” the German silver hilt of typical form embossed with foliate scrolls and with elongated oval crosspiece, in its blue velvet covered sheath with German silver chape and locket. Good Condition (patches of staining to blade, the hilt slightly crinkled, chape dented, the locket lacking its frog button) Plate 13
