BMW added a new coupé model to its range in 1976, the 6-Series. The 6-Series initially comprised of models powered by a range of straight six engines which included 2788cc, 2935cc, 3210cc, 3430cc and 3453cc units. This range was reduced to just three options, the 628i and 635CSiA and the M635 during the 1980s.
The elegant and purposeful body for the 6-Series was unique although the chassis platform provided the basis for the 5-Series launched in 1977. By the time production ceased in 1989 enthusiasts were already starting to seek out good examples, because they knew there would be strong demand in years to come
This excellent example of the 635 is offered complete with original BMW owner's information pack, including the service book recorded and stamped up to 1991 showing the mileage covered at 43548. From 1991 the servicing was then undertaken by the then owner, who owned Gauden Motors SE22. There are also MOT certificates dating back from 1997-2004, which again show the recorded mileage. The vendor can confirm that this vehicle has been in dry storage from 2001 to the present day. The indicated 86,200 miles is warranted as being correct.
