Bohemian hand decorated ruby glass pedestal vase, late 19th Century, baluster form, the body decorated with the portrait of a young girl in a blue dress, against a gilt foliate scroll ground, 29cm; also a pair of Bohemian gilded ruby glass bottle vases, each featuring a cameo portrait of a woman wearing a bonnet, 17cm (3)

More Information

Vase - very slight wear to the gilt edge at the top of the vase. Again very slight wear to the gilt at the bottom of the body of the vase, before it joins the stem. A small spot of wear to the gilt at the base of the neck on the back and a blemish within the glass at the front part of the lower neck. The cameo image is good. The base has been snapped off and re-stuck with glue. This is a very good repair but is noticeable when viewed through a 10x loupe. The resultant tiny chipping and glue residues, see images.

Bottle vases - there is extensive wear and loss to the gilt; one vase has a small chip to the blade knop beneath the rim. The cameo image is good. Both have polished pontil marks.
