Civil Service: 1870-72 embossed 2s6d pale dull rose, with single line ‘CIVIL SERIVCE’ underprint, wmk block VR with ‘30.9.70’ date plugs, rejoined vertical pair showing black dividing lines on three sides, fresh unused with traces of o.g. Upper stamp with scissor cut, still fine for this difficult issue which is given Booth's second highest ‘E’ rating for rarity. Very scarce. Booth 2
